Biography

Randall Potts/Cass Trystero  (they/them) is the author of two previous collections of poems: Trickster, published by the University of Iowa Press (Kohl House Poets) in 2014 and Collision Center, published by O Books in 1994. They also have a chapbook, Recant: (A Revision), published by Leave Books in 1994.

Their work has appeared in "American Poetry Review," the "Antioch Review," "Colorado Review," "Denver Quarterly," "Five Fingers Review," "Iowa Review," "Jung Journal: Culture & Psyche," "The West Marin Review," "Unsplendid,”  "Interim," "Poetry Northwest," "Bennington Review," ”Volt,” "The Rumpus," "Love & the Pandemic," "Ekphrasis Magazine," and "Beyond Queer Words. New work is forthcoming in “The Bennington Review.”

They attended the Iowa Writer’s Workshop and taught creative writing at the graduate and undergraduate levels at the University of San Francisco and California College of the Arts. They live in Bellingham, Washington and are nonbinary.
